How it works
From first contact to lasting change.
Five clear steps. Every conversation is confidential. No commitment beyond a conversation.
In this video, Dr Michael Yates explains what the programme involves, how it runs and how it is designed to help men make lasting change.

Register your interest
Register with Jane, our secure medical records provider, or get in touch directly. It is confidential and there is no obligation. Once your Jane account is set up, Dr Michael Yates will email you a short, confidential questionnaire so he can prepare for your conversation.
Confidential consultation
A confidential one-to-one conversation with Dr Michael Yates or a clinician on our team. You will talk through what has been going on and what you are hoping to change. They will explain how the programme works and answer your questions. If the programme is not the right fit, they will tell you, and suggest what might work better.
If the programme is right for you
Not everyone who applies will be offered a place: the programme needs to be the right fit for you, and you for the group. If it is, you will be placed in the right group for your needs, availability and preferences: in-person sessions in London (with Brighton, Essex, Suffolk and Manchester subject to demand) or online. Groups are small (up to ten men) and carefully composed. If the programme is not the right fit right now, the clinical team will explain why and suggest other support that might be the right fit for you.
Weekly sessions, New Chapter
The programme meets once a week, for a two-hour group therapy session. Programme 1, New Chapter, builds understanding and skills across twelve weeks. Between sessions, you will have practical exercises to work on. Where it may help, we may also suggest other sources of support, such as free groups run by charities and other organisations.
Programme 2 and beyond
After a short consolidation break, men who are ready move into Programme 2, New Direction: a further twelve weeks focused on identity, relationships, intimacy, and sustaining change. At the end, you will have a personal plan built around where you are. You do not have to figure it out alone.
