Time To Talk About Sex is committed to making this site accessible to all users, including those who use assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, or voice recognition software.
Standards we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 at level AA. This is the standard set out for public-sector sites in the UK and is a good benchmark for private-sector sites providing clinical services.
What has been done
The site has been built with accessibility in mind from the ground up:
- All pages use semantic HTML5 structure with clear heading hierarchies.
- Text has been checked for sufficient colour contrast against its background.
- Images have descriptive alt text where they carry meaning.
- Forms include visible labels and clear error messages.
- The site works at any browser text size and reflows for smaller screens.
- The site respects the
prefers-reduced-motionbrowser setting for users who need reduced animation. - All interactive elements can be reached and used with a keyboard.
Known limitations
This is an active site under development. If you find an accessibility issue, we would like to know so we can fix it. We aim to resolve reported issues within a reasonable timescale.
